About Me
I write mainly poetry and publish under my maiden name of Stedman. My first collection Faith Hope Love was published in 1987 by New Wine Press with a foreword by Steve Chalke. Then while I was nursing with The Leprosy Mission they published The Song Of The Sparrow in 1991 with a foreword by Diana Princess of Wales. Several poems from this collection have been used in other anthologies. My third collection Raised From Dust (foreword by Wendy Craig) has just been published in 2016 by Onwards and Upwards and released into UK book shops in April 2017. About Me
I write fairytales with bite as short stories, novels and some scripts. My favourite authors are Jane Austen, P.G. Wodehouse and Terry Pratchett. I have had short stories published online at Shortbread Short Stories, cafelit and Alfie Dog Fiction. I have had stories published in anthologies published by Bridge House Publishing (A Helping Hand in Alternative Renditions) and Marit Meredith (Shambelurkling). I have also had a limerick published by Iron Press in their Limerick Nation compilation, which covers the UK in five line verse! I am an Associate Member of the Society of Authors and am a long term subscriber to Writers' News, Mslexia, the P.G. Wodehouse Society (UK) and, of course, ACW. About Me
I am now the wife of a Rector, which sounds very grand, but isn't really. I'm mum to my gorgeous daughter, who is three, and son, who I'm sure will be a year old before I've blinked. I'm a performance storyteller, writer and ventriloquist; I'm a church children's worker too, but I don't get paid for that! Despite a career in which I regularly make a fool of myself loudly in front of a large audience, I'm an introvert. I possess many half-finished knitting projects, several abandoned blogs and, at any given moment, at least one cold cup of tea. |

About Me
I have been a Christian, along with my wife Adrienne, for over 30 years. From my teen years I habitually wrote down my thoughts, and when God introduced Himself to me at work in 1981 my diaries turned into spiritual journals. These journals are now forming the foundations for books, connected with my ministry, 'Work with God' (since 2000), which identifies, equips and deploys those called to build Christ's Kingdom in the business and working community. A while ago Adrienne and I were praying together about writing books and The Lord gave me a name, 'Christian Writers Association'. After our time of prayer I asked her whether it existed. Not knowing, we googled the name and found you! So, I'm trusting God's leading that my membership will equip me to get my books into the hands of those God has waiting for them, to inspire and enable them to work with God to build His precious kingdom on earth.
