About Me

I am married to Graeme with four teenage children. I love writing and find writing in a prayer journal to be very helpful. After two MAs (p/t and gained ten years apart) (Creative Writing and Children's Literature) and doing lots of jobs, including  5 years of being a carer for my mum until she passed away in May 2014, I am grateful to God that I have an agent and have now published two children's books. I am trying to use my writing gifts to further the values of the Kingdom of God and to promote Love and Justice and Compassion. My first, 'Girl with a White Dog' (Catnip) (9-12 yrs) was published in March 2014 and has been nominated for the Carnegie and other children's awards. My second 'Lucy's Secret Reindeer' (O.U.P.) (5-8 yrs) was published in Oct 2014.  My first picture book for Nosy Crow (The Fairiest Fairy), ilustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw, will be published in June 2015 and I am editing my second picture book for them. My second book for Catnip 'Dog Ears', about a young carer, should be out in April 2015, and my second book for OUP 'Lucy's Magic Snowglobe" in October 2015, so I feel very blessed and slightly run off my feet after many many years of not being published ! I am 50 in 2015 and have always wanted to be a writer, and being a late starter has made me very happy and not take naything for granted! I have completed a novel for adults which I would love to have published, but life is so busy with family life and writing children's books I have to put that in God's hands. I tweet as @Bridgeanne and have found twitter a great blessing and help to getting published.

About Me

I write as Anne E Thompson. You can read my weekly blog and find details of my publications at : www.anneethompson.com.

My novels include Counting Stars, which is available as a Kindle book from Amazon. I wrote about the world around the corner, what might be about to happen in the next hundred years. Will the world continue to tolerate religion, with all the subsequent wars and terrorist atrocities and inhumane acts? Or will society decide it has had enough, and will exclusive religion, which includes Christianity, become outlawed? And what might that mean for normal people? Is God bigger than religion?

My first paperback novel is Hidden Faces, which is an easy read story set in an infant school.

I then spent a few months researching psychopathy (fascinating subject!) Did you know most psychopaths are NOT killers? They are often the CEO of major corporations or leading politicians. Psychopathy is a hereditory condition - so how would you feel if you discovered your mother was a psychopath? This led to the writing of Joanna, a novel about a psychopath, her mother, and her daughter. It is due for release in March 2017.

About Me

I love writing...i tend to write more on the themes of inspiration, prayers, photos (which i take myself) and little blogs and sometimes my understanding of scripture...

i dont see myself as religious but more christian..which is the term i am comfortable with...

I love reading...but tend to read more slowly these days...maybe age is something to do with it...it will normally take me about a month now to read a book, where as in the past I could read several books a week...

i am looking to eventually publish a book, but am just a novice in this area, and so being a member of this site is a step in the right direction...and a great encouragement for me and am looking forward to growing...

About Me

I took up writing in the mistaken belief that it would be easier than a real job (it isn’t). Hence, as well as being the author of 4 novels under my own name, and ghostwriter of several more (which annoyingly pay more), and several short stories, I am also a technical writer amongst other skills.

I live in Abingdon and worship at Christ Church on Long Furlong. My homepage is at www.benjeapes.com.

About Me

I am a former History teacher turned youth leader who writes youth resources. This makes me really quite different from most ACW writers but people have been most supportive and welcoming.

I enjoy working with pre-teens as well as teenagers. My aim is to provide some depth of teaching for those who need it (leaders included) as well as a wide range of fun ideas because every youth group is different.

I recently published ‘Fit 4 Gold’, a short discipleship course which can be used with or without a sports theme. Although this was marketed through ‘More Than Gold’, it pushed me into launching my own web site which I will need for promoting other material. This will offer WinZip folders and CD discs so that I can include PowerPoints, web links and video clips. It is also easier to update material as well as being cheaper when you are just starting out.

I currently work on my own much of the time which slows me down a good deal, but it seems to be the forward for the time being. (An editor with an understanding of youth work and a similar vision would be a tremendous asset!)

About Me

I have written four Christian biographies - the life of Gladys Aylward, the missionary who went to China in the 1930's, George Muller, who founded childrens homes in Bristol for thousands of children, whose work was funded completely by faith, Frances Ridley Havergal, the English hymn-writer who wrote many hymns, some of which we still sing today and Mary Slessor, the Dundee born missionary who went to the Calabar, Nigeria.
