About Me

I'm in my late seventies, and I've been writing as long as I can remember. I've had nothing published, but I've self-published a book of poetry. I'm happily married to Toni, and we have tow children and four grandchildren.

About Me

My first book was published by Glory to Glory publications in August 2012!!! Such an exciting moment!! YAY!!!

So - as a member of ACW, I obviously love to write... I also love to organise. So that's what I do, in a nutshell.

Until my debut book, I have been writing a Christian Teenage Girl's Magazine called SHINE which is published and distributed free of charge to girls accorss the world. It's such an honour to be able to use my hands to encourage others.

I also work for a Christian organisation - CMJ - and have the pleasure of writing for the website - as the website manager, and organising the annual Conference. My two favourite activities combined into the perfect job role!!! :-)

I am blessed with a wonderful husband and a gorgeous stepson (part time, as he lives with his mum). We love to take advantage of being so close to Sherwood Forest and the Derbyshire Peaks!

About Me

Hello all,

I have a trilogy of Christian fiction out there, self-published with Authors Online, 'Leviathan with a Fish-hook (2009), 'The Monster Behemoth' (2010), and 'The Land of Nimrod' (2011.) It looks as if I was hard at work for three years but as you may have guessed it took a lot longer than that! I call it 'realistic contemporary British Christian fiction for adults', and I'm trying to write about people living the Christian life in our times -  warts, doubts, fears and all. There are reviews and excerpts on Amazon and on my website www.slrussell.co.uk

A fourth novel, a stand-alone this time, in a similar genre was published in November 2014. It's called 'A Shed in a Cucumber Field' and can be found in all the usual places, both as a paperback and an e book. Following the sad demise of Authors Online all my books are now under the umbrella of New Generation Publishing. I have recently finished the first draft of no. 5, so some of next year will be spent editing.

I worship at St Margaret's High Halstow in North Kent where I am the organist.

About Me

Hello, I joined ACW in 2014.  I have been writing on and off all my life. Minutes of meetings, press reports for the WI, announcements for the parish magazine. I did a correspondence course on writing for children around twenty years ago and won a prize at county level in a WI competition with a children's story. However I became discouraged by repeated rejections.

My interests include science and languages. I am married with two grown-up children (both married) and three grandchildren. I returned to writing in 2012 by starting a blog. Now I have three blogs and enough material for more than one book.

I am also working on a book.

I attend a 'local' group of Christian writers and hope to meet some more ACW members later this year.

About Me

What started with course work, quickly moved to a blog, a passion, a desire and a book, Now here I am with all that passion for God and for writing, bringing the two together and using his gifts to me and as a gift to others.

Well that's the idea anywhere, I feel excited, inadequate, enthused and doubtful as I am really just starting on this new journey, but with support, good friends and a lot of prayer, I believe God can take me anywhere if I let him

About Me

I am a mum of 4 ,a grandma,and a widow of 8 years.

I trained as a nurse(SRN) in London in the 60's and in between having babies I worked for the most part in the NHS! When I retired 3 years ago, I had withdrawal symptoms, from working and meeting with so many great people. We hear so much about the NHS and often the comments are not good.  But I am passionate about about the good it does and the concept of being "Free at the point of need".

I wanted to be able to tell my grandchildren about my training and the vision of the NHS in those days. It was not an easy life especially arriving in London as a niave 18year old with little experience of life outside my home. I had lots of lessons to learn and adjustment to make as I experinced hospital life.

For this reason I have just self-published "Angels of the NHS".  I invite you to travel with me as through my experiences, and the stories of Patients  I cared for and the Professionals  I encountered I document the excitement of life in a hospital in the 60's.

About Me

I am a chartered Librarian working for Thurrock Library Service in Essex. I am also a recently accredited Methodist local preacher (from October 2012) and enjoy writing short articles, poetry, stories - I write about anything that interests me! I have had some articles published in the Methodist Recorder as well as being highly commended for their poetry competition one year.

I want to broaden my freelance writing experience and continue to enjoy writing in between my full-time job and earn a little extra income (I'm honest about that!)

I set up a writing group - Inky Fingers - in 2010 (which is linked to ACW) because there ws nothing locally and I wanted to encourage and inspire others as well as be inspired and encouraged by sharing our writing triumphs and tribulations with each other.
