About Me

I am author of my faith memoir She Does Not Fear the Snow. See the reviews at Amazon  http://amzn.to/19NpdR4 and  Goodreads http://bit.ly/18o73oa. It all began in a Jerusalem Church where, as a practicing Jew, I thought I wasn't supposed to be. Jesus laid a trail of miracles that led me to a new husband of faith in New Brunswick, Canada.

I divide my time between Canterbury in the UK and Canada.

I have devised and teach a Write Your Testimony Course. I am now launching a Teach the Testimony Teachers Course. I am training group leaders to facilitate this course for their church groups. This is also a particularly strong course for outreach to groups of the elderly, in prisons and in rehabs, etc.

I have a vision for this course to go out and strengthen evangelizing throughout the world. This is just the beginning.

About Me

I have written four Christian biographies - the life of Gladys Aylward, the missionary who went to China in the 1930's, George Muller, who founded childrens homes in Bristol for thousands of children, whose work was funded completely by faith, Frances Ridley Havergal, the English hymn-writer who wrote many hymns, some of which we still sing today and Mary Slessor, the Dundee born missionary who went to the Calabar, Nigeria.

About Me
I have known the Lord as my Savior since I was 5. Now I am 56. In all these years I have found HIM all suffient to meet my needs. My wife, Ruth and I have raise 2 wonderful children. They are now both out on their own. I have always been fascinated by good conversations. I believe that good story-telling is part of that. I have not published anything yet. I hope to refine my craft through the assistance I can receive here at ACW. I also look forward to assisting anyone else by reviewing their works. So let me know if you have anything you would like me to look over.

About Me

Between 2002 and 2007, I spent five years as a  part-time Freelance Wiriter exploring different writing formats, firstly in Orkney and then in Devon. During that time, I was a member of ACW and covered jouralism (press and radio), crossword compiling, publicity planning, hymn witing, study notes, stand-up comedy, poetry and blogging.

Returning to a full-time IT role, I supported my local church editing the weekly newsletters, designing and building their website, and organising their publicity team. I also preached regularly and lead adult and children's Bible studies.

After 2013, I developed psoriatic arthriris in my ankles, knees, wrists and one elbow, which also caused severe fatigue, so I stopped writing formally while I concentrated on having enough energy to get to work every day. However, I continued to write a personal blog and communicate with friends and family via Facebook (where I rediscovered ACW), and more recently created a blog to write about faith topics.

After medication and controlled exercise has helped to reduce the joint stiffness and general fatigue, I'm looking at returning to writing more formally, starting with crossword compiling and poetry. More ideas welcome.
