About Me

I write about life in general at www.jamandgiraffes.com as Lucy Robinson. Here you will find details of my daughter's Giraffe Bread episode.

I write short pieces about my writing and a Friday 500 post each week at www.lucymarfleet.com, using my maiden name Lucy Marfleet as my pen name.

My children Lily and Joe are both primary age and are full of ideas, energy and evenings of grumpiness. I have evenings of grumpiness too, but far less energy because of a number of voluntary commitments. The ideas tend to wait their turn until lights out.

Before parenthood I taught in schools and worked with young offenders. I have a couple of theological degrees and a keen interest in OT narrative. In 2013 I went through a period of burnout; writing has been not only therapeutic but a means to bless others. I have much to learn still but am keen to keep going and keep getting better.

About Me

My name is Manashantii. The Holy Bible and my life experiences inspires me to write. My religious life began as an atheist, and after that I experimented with many religions. Psychotherapy has been my life-long passion. Though I am female, black African British and vegan, I see myself primarily as a human being and a pacifist. I pray that you find my website useful. God bless you. (I am private about my age.)

About Me
I was born and grew up in England, but have lived in Switzerland since 2001 with my husband Keith and our two daughters. With Keith, I am part of the leadership team at Oikos International Church in Basel. Keith and I have ministered together as a couple for many years leading Alpha courses, and recently developed and taught the course, ?Enriching sexual intimacy in Christian marriage?. My other roles include: ? Speaker ambassador for Compassion Switzerland, a Christian child sponsorship charity; we sponsor four children ? Volunteer with Rahab, a Salvation Army outreach to sex workers in Basel?s red-light district. ? Leader at the Saphira women?s ministry in Basel, speaking at regular events for this and at other churches in Switzerland. My debut book was Gorgeous: Seeing yourself through God's eyes (Evangelista Media, 2014). It was published in German as Du bist wŁnderschon: Mit den Augen Gottes sehen (Cap Books 2014) I love to encourage others and demonstrate how a relationship with Jesus Christ changes our lives, here and now. I am passionate about sharing the treasurers and freedoms of following Jesus, and delights in helping people on their journey to become all that God intended them to be, by sharing my own life story with honesty and down-to-earth humour. My motivation is simply this: ?Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me? (Psalm 66:16).

About Me

I have been writing since my teens, mainly poetry. Retirement 15 years ago has allowed me to give more time to my interest. To date I have had several poems published in magazines and self published two collections of my work. I have tried article writing and have had two published so far. Having my words set to music was my first love and with Rev. Norman Warren (the musician) had several anthems published by Kevin Mayhew, and some Christian songs in the 70s/80s.

I am a member of The West Midlands Local writers Group, based in Leamington Spa.

John, my husband, and I have four grown-up children and five grandchildren.

About Me

I was born Margaret Christine Mary Doust in 1958 in my grandparent's home in Redhill, Surrey, England. If my father had had his way I would have been called Margaret Angela Doust. Now some of you might think those initials apt for my personality, but no doubt there would have been some stick at school. Fortunately my parents realized their error just in time.

My mother was a Radiographer and I used to love thumbing through her professional manual. Those broken bones enthralled me! My father worked as an X-Ray Engineer. My parents had four children and I was the only girl.

A definite tomboy as a child, I grew up in South West England where I played football endlessly with my brothers. This skill eventually bore fruit and I won a medal doing what my feet did best - kicking a ball.

School was not my favourite place as it meant hours sitting in a room. Most of the time I looked out of the window day dreaming. Being cooped up meant I was not outside where I felt naturally comfortable.

My favourite subject was PE and I excelled at hockey as girls were not allowed to play football at school back then.

Teachers made the comment back then that if I could have learnt on the playing field I would be a genius.

My other joy was writing. I find this interesting now, as most of it was illegible due to poor reading skills, creative spelling and a total misunderstanding of the English language.

They call it dyslexia now! But my imagination refused to be curbed by such a minor detail. Accordingly, I have written many books in my head, but only one has been published!

Since leaving school I have had a full life and in my thirties succumbed to marrying. I have three wonderful children, and my love of stories now meant I could encourage my own children to help with the plots, as we made them up at bedtime.

This love of story telling finally became a reality when my first novel was published in September 2014. So instead of kicking a ball, I took up writing and found a desire to kick words around instead, passing, dribbling and eventually scoring the winner - I hope.

I also have a very strong faith which is tested in the day to day commotion of life. This has lent itself to a 'slightly' different perspective on the world.

About Me

I was born and bred in Lancashire and from the age of 13 I always wanted to be a roving reporter.  Circumstances altered my eventual career but writing (and taking photographs) was always in my blood and my writing includes letters, articles, short stories, poems, opinions etc.   I have been lucky to have had some of these published in various newspapers and magazines and have had eight books published which can be purchased through Amazon - two children's books are also digitally produced.   My "reporting" nature sees me chatting to one and all and my hobbies include walking, gardening, baking.  I attend a C of E Church and help with Sunday School.  Being married with three grandchildren keeps me happily employed and I live peacefully in a lovely village within an hour's travel from my roots.

About Me

A founder member of ACW, I have written 24 books, the latest of which, 'It's Just You and Me Lord' is published in September 2012. In my blog 'What If ...'  [http://marionstroud.blogspot.com] I explore how taking steps of faith has influenced my writing career. I am a cross cultural trainer for Media Associates, a charity seeking to help Christians to write culturally relevant material in the spiritually 'hard' countries of the world.
