About Me
I am a writer, website designer, theology student, father and husband. At present I run a website design business and am researching for a couple of books in between writing essays for a theology degree. I am particularly interested in speculative fiction - science fiction, fantasy, dystopian and alternate history.

About Me
I'm a writer and editor, so I work right across the editorial spectrum, from proofreading and copy-editing through to developmental editing and original writing. My aim is to help individuals and organisations produce top quality, creative communications that are right for their audience. I love working with Christian-led organisations and the voluntary sector and hope to make this a specialism. I'm currently writing a book about the Street Pastors movement for Hodder Faith. I tweet about my work and my creative challenges at [email protected]

About Me

I've been a member of ACW for about 15 years, and used to be more involved when we met in central London.  As a child I enjoyed writing, and at different intervals of life written a variety of novels.  However, when the desire to combine my faith with fiction came together and 'Jane' was born I saw this could be a brilliant evangelist tool and believe God's promise that 'His Word never returns void".  I have only been published since 2007 after taking the step of 'going it alone' after Kingsway Publishing and a literary agent sent my books to 3 US publishers and they were rejected.  And so the 'Hearts Desire Series' was birthed based on Ps.37:3-4  with the strap line "Novels to romance your soul and spirit."  There are six projected books, the first three, 'Jane', 'Jill' and 'David' are all available from our website www.heartsdesireseries.com and in Kindle format from Amazon. You can read a sample chapter, but suggest if you want to read 'Jane' don't spoil the adventure because although each book stands alone, they do follow on, each in a two year interval starting in London in 1966.

About Me

I am now retired as a psychologist but still maintain a consultancy and support role.  I desire to write a blog sending out encouragement and insight to bring others up into a lighter life. My own writing came out of a need to pour out the deep emotions that had been festering inside me for years.  I see the benefit of journalling and keeping close to the Lord by writing to Him. He is gracious enough to write back - loving, kind, encourageing and always steadfast no matter how fickle I may be!

I have written for Woman Alive in the past and contributed to other writing and counselling outlets.   We opened our house as a retreat facility for three years but now only welcome family and friends.

Previously my psychology work was as follows:

Many of the clients I support/train/mentor are people who sense that they are 'square pegs' trying to fit into our society andculture's 'round holes'. They are often highly gifted in an area that is not highly valued by those around them. Because of areas in life they struggle with, they may suspect they are dyslexic, dyspraxic, have attentional controlissues (ADD/ADHD), or be an 'Aspie' (Aspergers syndrome). They may have been assessed and given one such label or even a combination or all of them! To me an individual has their own unique profile, background, abilities andchallenges: being neurodiverse is about being different rather than dysfunctional.

I first aim to assist the person accept themselves as they are - background, cognitive make up, particular strengths, weaknesses, differences to others, cross cultural issues - ... find out what their dreams, visions and goals are then design ways of heading towards their goals.  We can work together on self management and emotional control using cognitive behavioural coaching/therapy, compassion focussed therapy and mindfulness and attend to supporting their abilities and neurodiversity.  I can assist them to understand their type of personality and communication and relational styles (e.g. NEO-PI-R). I can be there during times of transition and challenge (by email, phone, Skype) as well as regular face to face meetings.

About Me

I have been writing since a teenager, initially poetry but then in 2000, after selling a front page article to the Gloucestershire Echo, I decided to train as a journalist. I qualified in 2002 and then worked as a freelancer with Gloucestershire Media for a couple of years. I continued to write the occasional article for them after this as well as becoming a regular contributor to the Christian Herald. On the demise of the latter, I became a regular contributor to the replacement magazine, CPO's Inspire. I have also written for Woman Alive, Classic Ford, the New Writer and various other local and national publications.

In 2012 I won second prize in a writing competition run by Christian publisher, Rose and Crown. I hope to have my novella 'the Alpha Male' published this summer and am currently working on a larger historical novel. I also still write articles, poems and short stories.

About Me

I am an unpublished writer, but I have been writing stories and poems all my life - ever since I discovered that the stories my mother read to me were written by PEOPLE! and didn't just appear on the page.

I belongto a local Writers' Group but don't know any other Christian writers, apart from the people I have met at Scargill House on two of Adrian and Bridget Plass's weekends so I decided it was time I joined A.C.W. and maybe ventured into social media, which has always scared me.

No photograph I'm afraid - I hate seeing myself and avoid anything other than group photographs.

About Me

Hello, I joined ACW in 2014.  I have been writing on and off all my life. Minutes of meetings, press reports for the WI, announcements for the parish magazine. I did a correspondence course on writing for children around twenty years ago and won a prize at county level in a WI competition with a children's story. However I became discouraged by repeated rejections.

My interests include science and languages. I am married with two grown-up children (both married) and three grandchildren. I returned to writing in 2012 by starting a blog. Now I have three blogs and enough material for more than one book.

I am also working on a book.

I attend a 'local' group of Christian writers and hope to meet some more ACW members later this year.

About Me

Currently working on young adult fiction with the White Gates Adventures.

Born in Northampton in 1948, I have lived, studied and worked in London, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Yorkshire, Dorset and South Sudan. I was ordained in the C of E in 1975. Now retired in Keynsham (between Bristol and Bath), I spend my time writing, promoting the books, working with young people, acting as an International Consultant for Bishop Gwynne College in Juba (not a light task) and generally filling in with leading worship, weddings, baptisms and funerals when clergy are on holiday.

About Me

"Smith allows the reader to meander with her through her life against a backdrop of the South African veld with colourful imagery and descriptive prowess. We all have so much to learn, not only from our own past, but from the lives of others. To take comfort and strength from the success and happiness of those who have struggled and won. Her debut novel is a reflective look back over her life in South Africa. It still resonates today on a personal and global level. There is something for everyone to take away from her first novel of a trilogy, Smith paints a portrait of life in South Africa in the 1970s. As readers we can picture the landscape and almost hear the wildlife as we are transported back to a different time and place, into Trudy’s childhood and early life. Now living in London, Smith is retired from a career in the cosmetic industry, and has time to reflect on a life filled with uncertainty and self-doubt. There is something for everyone to take away from this thought-provoking and evocative debut novel".

About Me

I am a Christian and love to write, especially short stories. I would like to write a novel and complete the Writers' Bureau course I started recently. My favourite Christian author is Francine Rivers, and Redeeming Love was one of the best books I've ever read. I love reading books of all kinds, and am known to have a few on the go at once - strange I know! I have a husband, Chris and three teenage girls and life is hectic. I am interested in health issues, especially conditions such as mental health and epilepsy, as my eldest daughter has uncontrolled epilepsy.

I love my church, Hopecity, Leeds, and though we live in Selby North Yorkshire, I was born in Leeds and have lived there most of my life - i'm a Leeds girl at heart. I love people and animals too, and passionately feel that it's important to live a life of compassion in the world.
