About Me

I am a retired Pastor and my wife is a professional counsellor.  From 1980 until 1994 we served as church planters in the Philippines with OMF.  During my days with OMF I wrote chapters for "When God Guides" and "When the Roof Caves In" (OMF Books).  I am working on two writing projects at the moment one is a children's book based on the stories I told my own children when they were in the Philippines about two Monkeys "Mickey and Macaroni" and later have been using as the basis for Primary School Assemblies in a local School.  The second project is my own Memoirs which is on hold while I concentrate on the Monkey Stories.

About Me

I retired as a General Manager/Company Secretary in 2012 and moved from my home in south London up to the wilds of Argyll. In 2007 I had peer reviewed research published in the Quality in Primary Care medical journal. Since my moving up to Argyll I have had one book published (A Question of Identity) by Ambassador Books and Media and a sequel (A Question of Time) is currently being reviewed by them for publication. Whilst I am waiting for the publisher, I am writing a children's book (aimed at the 7 - 11 year olds) called Archie and his magic bagpipes - I shall probably self publish this one through Amazon. I have a wife and a son (a police officer) and a daughter (a HR manager with one of the well known car manufacturers). I have an MSc in medical practice management and am a member of the Chartered Management Institute. Above all this, I am  passionate about discovering more about the God who has redeemed me and am committed to following Him no matter where He leads.

About Me

It has taken me a life time to get here but I have now given myself time to write.

Until recently I have been a primary teacher with a real interest in good RE teaching that supports pastoral work within schools. I'm also a Reader for Blackburn Diocese which I enjoy very much; well perhaps enjoy isn't the correct term!

I have written poetry since I was at school myself and keep a diary simply to keep a track of where I am with God and how best to care for my family.

About Me

“I began making up stories before I could write. I used to lay in bed at night telling them to myself. I became a bit self conscious and started to worry that people might overhear me, so I stopped telling them out loud – then, later on, I learned to write and began to put them on paper.

Nothing else has changed much. I’m now 55. I’ve been a seaman, a stores man, a petrol pump attendant, a janitor, a missionary, and an Admin. Assistant. Now I’m a CSI, a husband, a father, a Methodist 'Local Preacher' and a dog owner - but I am still, and always have been, a story teller!

Doesn’t look like I’ll ever get over it."
