About Me

I have been a Christian, along with my wife Adrienne, for over 30 years. From my teen years I habitually wrote down my thoughts, and when God introduced Himself to me at work in 1981 my diaries turned into spiritual journals.

These journals are now forming the foundations for books, connected with my ministry, 'Work with God' (since 2000), which identifies, equips and deploys those called to build Christ's Kingdom in the business and working community.

A while ago Adrienne and I were praying together about writing books and The Lord gave me a name, 'Christian Writers Association'. After our time of prayer I asked her whether it existed. Not knowing, we googled the name and found you!

So, I'm trusting God's leading that my membership will equip me to get my books into the hands of those God has waiting for them, to inspire and enable them to work with God to build His precious kingdom on earth.

'Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.'

(Matthew 6:10)

About Me

I write as Anne E Thompson. You can read my weekly blog and find details of my publications at : www.anneethompson.com.

My novels include Counting Stars, which is available as a Kindle book from Amazon. I wrote about the world around the corner, what might be about to happen in the next hundred years. Will the world continue to tolerate religion, with all the subsequent wars and terrorist atrocities and inhumane acts? Or will society decide it has had enough, and will exclusive religion, which includes Christianity, become outlawed? And what might that mean for normal people? Is God bigger than religion?

My first paperback novel is Hidden Faces, which is an easy read story set in an infant school.

I then spent a few months researching psychopathy (fascinating subject!) Did you know most psychopaths are NOT killers? They are often the CEO of major corporations or leading politicians. Psychopathy is a hereditory condition - so how would you feel if you discovered your mother was a psychopath? This led to the writing of Joanna, a novel about a psychopath, her mother, and her daughter. It is due for release in March 2017.

About Me

I love writing...i tend to write more on the themes of inspiration, prayers, photos (which i take myself) and little blogs and sometimes my understanding of scripture...

i dont see myself as religious but more christian..which is the term i am comfortable with...

I love reading...but tend to read more slowly these days...maybe age is something to do with it...it will normally take me about a month now to read a book, where as in the past I could read several books a week...

i am looking to eventually publish a book, but am just a novice in this area, and so being a member of this site is a step in the right direction...and a great encouragement for me and am looking forward to growing...

About Me

I am a former History teacher turned youth leader who writes youth resources. This makes me really quite different from most ACW writers but people have been most supportive and welcoming.

I enjoy working with pre-teens as well as teenagers. My aim is to provide some depth of teaching for those who need it (leaders included) as well as a wide range of fun ideas because every youth group is different.

I recently published ‘Fit 4 Gold’, a short discipleship course which can be used with or without a sports theme. Although this was marketed through ‘More Than Gold’, it pushed me into launching my own web site which I will need for promoting other material. This will offer WinZip folders and CD discs so that I can include PowerPoints, web links and video clips. It is also easier to update material as well as being cheaper when you are just starting out.

I currently work on my own much of the time which slows me down a good deal, but it seems to be the forward for the time being. (An editor with an understanding of youth work and a similar vision would be a tremendous asset!)

About Me

I've retired from Primary School teaching since 2012. I decided to try to turn my hand to Creative Writing for the first time in my life. I attended  a 10 week adult education class. I've since joined local informal groups such as U3A Cardiff. This has been both a challenge and inspiration. I still feel I'm experimenting with  what particular genre or style suits me best.

I have enjoyed writing poetry , rhyme or free verse, if a theme or topic grabs me. I have tried some short stories and also write anecdotally, I would love to write poems and short stories for children. If only I had the time.

I also hope that there is a good sense of humour in a lot of my work. I am a committed Christian and try to write about life issues from that standpoint . I appreciate any feedback of any sort . I have put some poetry, short stories etc. on my WORDPRESS site doddmanbloghead.wordpress.com  much of it written for the U3A group I attend who tend to toss out pretty obscure themes !!

see     http://doddblogthoughts.blogspot.co.uk/ ;          recently started (Jan 2017) for personal reflections, meditations, poems and Christian thoughts

About Me

I have an acting diploma from Central School of Speech and Drama, London, and a specialist teaching diploma in speech and drama from Guildhall. After a spell in live theatre and private teaching, I began running a drama group in Parkhurst prison on the Isle of Wight. This led to receiving a large grant from TVS Trust to set up a registered charity and limited company providing therapeutic arts where no facilities existed. The charity has just celebrated its 25th year. Details on www.independentarts.co.uk Writing has always been my second craft and my published work includes articles and short stories. I was converted from Judaism as a student and despite broken marriages and the death of three children, my faith remains central to my life. I now live in Haslemere and, among other things, have the honourary position of Chairman of Operations for Opera South, where I enjoy organising teaching performances for children. We have commissioned a children's opera for 2013. The world premier will take place during the Haslemere Festival in May.

About Me

Clive was born on the 20th March 1943 in Shrewsbury and was named after Lord Robert Clive (Clive of India) who has a statue in the town square. Clive’s schooling began at Meole Brace School then following moves: two schools in Tredegar; and finally Canton High School, Cardiff.

Clive had a career in computing for over 40 years attaining MBCS CITP AMBCS status. This resulted in him working for many companies and living in different parts of the United Kingdom.

Clive was fourteen when he heard the ‘Magic Camel’, nonsense story and has been telling the story ever since. This encouraged him to develop his own stories for his work with children, young people, and also adults.

Clive spent a major part of his spare time involved with children and youths in various organisations the main one being Boys’ Brigade. Clive had the occasional visits to schools to promote the youth activities by taking school assemblies.

At a Christian conference a number of years ago Clive shared a couple of his stories with others over dinner, and a minster said he should write them down and publish them. Clive finally decided to start this in 2013 when he published, ‘Clive the Magic Camel at the Zoo’.

Clive stories are enjoyed by all ages and had to make a decision on the age group for his books. He finally decided to write each story as a reader for those in the earlier stages of reading, thinking that the appeal of the short stories would encourage them to finish the book and read it often. Each story has a moral and the story can also be read to younger children by displaying the illustrations to keep them interested, or to older groups to aid discussions on the moral.

Clive has been visiting schools reading his published books, and running Story Building classes and workshops. These have currently been mainly with Key Stages 1 and 2. Clive uses A4 illustrations for small groups and PowerPoint for larger groups and assemblies.

Clive has also been involved with: Key Stage 3 classes in secondary schools covering the whole process of story development, through writing and publication; toddler groups; adult meetings e.g. W.I.; Church services, and Christian outreach events.

Clive is available for: Book Readings; Story Writing classes; Book Signings; Literary events; Public Speaking.
