Local Writers’ Groups (which used to be called Area Groups) are a great way of getting support, friendship and inspiration, and meeting up with others in your locality.  You don’t have to be a member of the Association in order to attend your local group, though of course we encourage everyone to join.

Local Groups can provide the chance to:

  • inspire and encourage one another
  • write together
  • eat together
  • meet visiting speakers
  • pray together
  • join in workshops
  • share information
  • network
