About ACW
ACW was founded over thirty years ago by a small group of Christians who met at a writers’ conference and wanted to keep in touch. In 1998 the organisation gained charitable status, changing its name from ‘The Fellowship of Christian Writers’ to ‘The Association of Christian Writers’.
However, we remain at heart a fellowship, sharing prayerful support and encouragement alongside professional standards of training and advice. We also support Christian writers overseas, in the developing world and Eastern Europe, through donations to our Equipped for Ministry fund.
ACW operates through a voluntary committee. They meet formally three times a year, but are in constant contact by phone and email, planning events, answering queries and keeping members in touch with the help and support they require.
